This journal is the second home to Liebesromane, an ongoing story of love and rejection among a few GLBT college students. The story was originally housed on MySpace, but the website has become too commercial and finicky to be a suitable home anymore. The main characters of Liebesromane are as follows:

Timon Saneth - (pronounced TY-min, not tih-MOAN) A gay junior in college. He is a philosophy major and a painter. He was raised mostly by his devoutly Catholic mother, after his father left them. While he was afraid to come out to her as gay, when he did, she proved to be very loving. His hobbies include movies, being a nerd, and showering in the recreation center locker room. It was at this locker room that he met Nick Carroway, with whom he is currently in a relationship. In Act Three, he is currently struggling with his newest painting and having difficulty reading Nick.

Nick Carroway - A bi junior in college. He is an English major, but not enjoying it. He is also a soccer player for the university club team and works part-time as a cashier at a local grocery store. He also enjoys science fiction and racquetball. When he came out to his parents, he was kicked out of the house. His little brother, John, is also gay, a fact that only Nick knows. In Act Three, he is currently struggling with his English major, the fact that he is in his first relationship with a guy, the fact that he does not want to consummate the relationship, and a major loss of his support circle at the end of Act Two, brought upon by his ex-girlfriend, Shannon.

Mickey LeBeaux - A bi junior in college, Timon's gal pal. She enjoys spending time with Timon, being too busy, and playing guitar. She is currently dating Timon's ex-girlfriend, Janine. In Act Three, Mickey is recuperating from a car accident she was in at the end of Act Two and a lack of support from her girlfriend.

Janine Doubein - A gay college graduate, age 27. Janine works as a writer for a weekly gay periodical and as a teller at a bank in the same town as the college. When she and Timon were in the closet, they dated for a while; now they are close friends. It is through him that she met Mickey. In Act Three, Janine is currently struggling with adjusting to her move down to the college town and her job transfer to a new bank.

Ensnared in these four lives are parents, friends, acquaintances, teammates, coworkers, and a few jaded ex-lovers. Not updated weekly anymore due to a busy author, but by May 3, 2008, there will be 24 new chapters, ending with a stunning finale on the author's college graduation day. So it's going to speed up, or at least have a lot of chapters during winter break.
